Helps us build more spaces that foster smiles, fun, love, and light

Here are some things to know about us for 2019:

  • We built SIX state of the art playgrounds in the following Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon: |1 & 2| Rashidieh Camp (two units in a large public park); |3| Al Morshid Kindergarten in Ein el Hilweh Camp; |4| Women's Union Kindergarten in Burj el Shamali; |5| Mia Mia Camp &; |6| Nahr el Bared. This was done in partnership with UNRWA, who selected the locations and oversaw installations of playgrounds we had delivered to them. We're hugely grateful to them, especially Daoud Korman.
  • We supported another year of SkateQilya Summer Camp, empowering young people in Palestine through skateboarding.
  • We launched AIDA, a private label Fair Trade, Organic, Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Palestine, to support our organization.
  • We remained an all-volunteer organization, and managed all of this on a budget of less than $90,000. This organization is a labor of love for all of us who keep it running. Several of us spend at least 5-10 hours per week year round, and no one in our group gets paid for their work (except in the satisfaction we get from the end result). This means that all donations go to project related expenses (with the exception of year end tax preparation, independent audit, and postage costs).
